Meet Dr. Archer
Kaete Archer, MD, is a double board certified facial cosmetic and plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures of the face, neck, and nose. Known for her innovation, compassion, and dedication, Dr. Archer exclusively performs modern facial plastic surgery — a comprehensive practice that focuses not only on treatment but also prevention and maintenance. Whether you’re in your 20s or 90s, Dr. Archer will provide an individualized, comprehensive strategy to combat your aging face and neck. Her goal is to foster positive change in her patients that will lead to empowerment, confidence, and self-assurance. Dr. Archer believes that the *art* of facial plastic surgery is the ability to make each treatment as unique as the pursuit of *beauty* itself.
Dr. Archer received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. She graduated with top distinction as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and with honors in research. She completed an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Archer was attracted to the art, functionality, and patient-centered capacity of facial cosmetic and plastic surgery. Dr. Archer continued her training after residency by completing an American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) fellowship under the direction of Dr. Stephen Perkins in Indianapolis, IN. In 2014 and 2017, she traveled to Vietnam with the AAFPRS FACE to FACE International medical mission teams where she lectured and performed surgery on patients with congenital deformities, trauma, and facial paralysis. In 2018, Dr. Archer was honored to be named the exclusive Skincare Expert of Sanz, a Florida-based, non-toxic line of skincare products with a focus on authenticity, integrity, and simplicity.
Having completed her fellowship through the AAFPRS, Dr. Archer has learned the latest and most advanced techniques in facial cosmetic and plastic surgery. Her specialties include facelifts, neck lifts, rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), and cosmetic eyelid surgery. She also performs reconstructive surgery for facial skin cancer (Mohs reconstruction) and functional rhinoplasty. Additionally, Dr. Archer offers non-surgical rejuvenation procedures such as chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, neuromodulators (Botox®/Xeomin®), multiple facial injectables, and Kybella®. She frequently uses Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in combination with her surgical procedures to boost the healing and rejuvenation process.
Dr. Archer is passionate about contributing to the field of facial plastic surgery. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Facial Plastic Times, and continues to work on Facial Plastic Surgery research projects both individually and in partnership with SUNY Upstate Medical University. Her particular interests include patient-reported outcomes and evolving social psychology in modern facial plastic surgery. Dr. Archer has been selected to co-author several chapters in facial plastic surgery textbooks and has been invited to speak at national and international conferences. She currently serves on 6 AAFPRS national committees and is writing a textbook chapter on facial anatomy.
Dr. Archer was born in Canada and grew up in Northwest Arkansas. She has dual citizenship and loves international travel. Her family owns an organic farm with a focus on sustainable living, socially responsible farming, and animal psychology. She enjoys strong coffee and blogging about ethical/inspiring brands in fashion and beauty and the empowerment of women. Dr. Archer supports social and charity work for issues that speak strongly to her including domestic violence and equality. She is an international member of the Speak Out Organization, a law-based, community development, non-government organization (NGO) in Lahore, Pakistan, which is built to elevate the lives of women and children.
